About us

     As a member of Chowan Baptist Association, we believe in partnering with like minded born again Christian believers to build and share the Kingdom of Christ in our community, and around the world through preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, giving to and going, in mission efforts to show the love of God in Christ that offers hope and salvation to all who will confess their sin and surrender their will and life to Jesus Christ.     

We try to demonstrate God's love by loving others with His love in practical ways, as well as prayer and fellowship.     

Burgess Baptist Church serves the Burgess community in Perquimans County, open to any and all who wish to worship the Lord.  You are invited to come and worship Jesus with us.

    Guests are always welcome and new members are integrated into the church life and activities as each person is willing to join and serve.

We have just completed the book of Mark, we will begin a new book study in May

We are in the last week in our "Journey to the Cross" which will begin our Easter Messages.​

Bible Teacher Donald Ayscue is teaching poignant messages every Sunday morning at 10 AM.

We have returned to services with few restrictions.

We would love to have you worship the Lord Jesus Christ with us.  We have Sunday School at 10 AM, Morning Worship at 11 AM, Sunday evening service has been suspended for the time being.

Wednesday we have Prayer and Discipleship Study at 6 PM.
